EARLY 1980'S - ACHIEVING AN INTERNATIONAL STANDARD IN ITALIAN MARBLE PROCESSING

In the early 1980's Elegant set up its Mt. Abu, Rajasthan factory to manufacture marble tiles. The founders vision to bring an international standard of architectural materials, led to the introduction of Italian machinery from Breton S.p.A. & M/s Tema Longinotti & Elegant became India's first company to import & process Italian marble to the international standard, domestically.

EARLY 1990'S - BEGINNING OF MUMBAI'S MARBLE MARKET

Spread over 35,000 square feet is Mumbai's largest marble stockyard, located in the the center of what has now become the famous marble market of Mumbai.

The stockyard continues to boast the largest & most exclusive selection of Italian Marble, housed in a light & temperature controlled gallery as well as under natural light.

Elegant continues to welcome its domestic & international clientele, at this stockyard as its colocated by the airport.

LATE 1990'S - FINE ITALIAN MARBLE CALLS ELEGANT HOUSE HOME

Adjacent to the original Elegant stockyard, the company opens its first formal showroom & office in Raghuvanshi Mills.

India's first 5000sft Italian Marble showroom set up in the heart of South Mumbai, became a the designers dream & the builders Mecca.

In the decade to follow, the Raghuvanshi Mills becomes the epicenter high-end & luxury interior design related shopping.

1994 - SUCCESSFUL LISTING ON THE BOMBAY STOCK EXCHANGE

As a pioneer in the natural marble manufacturing space & Elegant Marbles was taken public and saw a highly successful public offering on the prestigious Bombay Stock Exchange, Elegant Marbles & Grani Industries Ltd. is born.

MID 2000's - INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS LAUNCHED WITH GLOBAL BRANDS

Elegant brings international brands such as Versace Ceramics & glass2 large format glass surfaces to India by obtaining exclusivity over the Asia Pacific region.

ONE OF A KIND GEMSTONE EXPERIENCE CENTER

In pursuit of the finest stones for its distinguished clientele Elegant entered the into the Precious Gemstone surfaces business, with the opening of the "Jasper" Gemstone Experience center & Art Gallery.

At the experience center stone experts guide clients & designers through a library of 400+ gemstone surface options in variety of crystals, agates & geode for opulent spaces.
